How to find B2B leads in ChatGPT
Find B2B leads in ChatGPT by connecting Enricho as a custom app. Describe your buyer, review a free sample, then approve full records with contact details.
ChatGPT can help you think through your ideal customer, but on its own it does not have a list of decision makers with contact details. Connecting Enricho changes that. Once the connector is on, ChatGPT can search people and company records, show you a sample, and return full records when you say so.
What do you need to find leads in ChatGPT?
- A ChatGPT account where you can create a custom app or connector. This depends on your plan and workspace settings.
- An Enricho account, created when you first sign in. There is no password and no card required, and the Free plan includes 100 credits a month.
- A short description of who buys from you.
How do you connect Enricho to ChatGPT?
- Open Settings → Apps (or Apps & Connectors) and enable Developer mode in the advanced settings, if available.
- Create a custom app (or connector) with the server URL
https://mcp.enricho.co/mcpand OAuth authentication. - Sign in to Enricho when ChatGPT asks. Enter your email and the 6-digit code Enricho sends.
- In a chat, choose Enricho from the tools menu.
The setup docs cover the latest steps for ChatGPT and other clients.
What should your first prompt look like?
Be specific about the role, company type, size and location. Ask for the contact channel you need.
Use Enricho to find founders and owners of companies in Sydney with
11-50 employees in the marketing and advertising industry. Only people
with a phone number.
ChatGPT maps this to filters: seniority founder and owner, industry "marketing", size band 11-50, city Sydney and has phone. Lists match any value, and different filters combine with AND.
A few more starting points:
Find VPs and directors of operations at logistics companies in
Melbourne with 201-500 employees. Only people with LinkedIn.
Find heads of engineering in Australia with Kubernetes in their skills,
at companies with 51-200 employees.
What happens after you send the prompt?
The workflow is the same each time:
- Preview. ChatGPT runs a free preview and gets a sample of up to 10 records, without contact details.
- Review. It shows you the filters it used and the sample, and asks whether to continue.
- Refine. If the titles or companies are off, you adjust the request. Previews remain free.
- Approve. You say how many full records to fetch. Each returned record costs 1 credit.
- Page. ChatGPT returns one page at a time. Ask for the next page when you want more.
The preview is a quality check. It does not tell you the exact number of matching people, so do not read the sample size as the audience size.
What fields does each lead include?
Full person records can include:
| Field group | Examples |
|---|---|
| Identity | Name, job title, seniority, role |
| Company | Company name, industry, company size, website |
| Location | City, region, country |
| Contact | Emails, phone numbers where available |
| Profiles | LinkedIn and other social profiles |
| Background | Skills |
An empty field means the value is not on file. If a contact channel is essential, add has_email, has_phone or has LinkedIn to the request so only people with that detail are returned.
How do you avoid contacting people you already know?
Give ChatGPT the companies or contacts to exclude:
Leave out these existing customers: example.com.au, example.net.au.
Then get 25 full records.
Exclusions apply in full searches. Previews accept only a short list of excluded company domains, so the sample may show people you already know; the paid results will leave them out.
Can ChatGPT find companies first, then people?
Yes. Ask for target accounts first, then the people at them:
Use Enricho to preview software companies headquartered in Australia
with 51-200 employees. Then find their heads of sales.
ChatGPT uses company_search to preview the accounts, then person_search with those company domains. Note that company country is where the company is headquartered, while person country is where the person is located.
How do you keep track of credits in ChatGPT?
Ask directly. Usage checks are free.
How many Enricho credits do I have left?
ChatGPT calls account_usage and reports your plan, credits left and refill date. If you need more, ask it to upgrade or buy a credit pack, and it returns a secure checkout link. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record. Plans and prices are on the pricing page.
What else can ChatGPT do with the leads?
Once the records are in the conversation, you can:
- Sort them by seniority or company size.
- Write a short, role-specific opening line for each person.
- Export them as a table or CSV for your CRM.
- Enrich a separate list you already have. See how to enrich LinkedIn profiles, emails or domains with an AI agent.
