How do I avoid paying for contacts I already have?
Exclude your customers' domains and known people, reuse saved lists, and preview first, so your AI agent only spends credits on new contacts.
Credits go furthest when they only buy records you don't already have. Enricho gives your agent three ways to make sure of that.
1. Exclude what you already have
Tell the agent who to leave out:
Use Enricho to find heads of marketing at software companies with
51-200 employees, leaving out these customer domains: acme.com,
northbeam.com, fernwoodlabs.com.
Full searches accept:
- Company domains to exclude (for example your customers),
- Company IDs to exclude,
- Person IDs to exclude (people you fetched before).
Previews take up to 10 excluded domains and no ID exclusions, so the free sample may still show some people you have. The full search applies every exclusion before you pay.
2. Reuse lists instead of searching again
Each full search is billed again, even if it returns the same people. Instead:
- Save the records you paid for to a list: free.
- Read the list later with
list_get: free. - Export it as a CSV: free. The private link expires after 15 minutes.
3. Preview, then pay for exactly what you need
- Start with a free preview to check the filters are right.
- Ask for the page size you need (1–100 records), not more.
- Require a contact channel ("only people with an email") so you don't pay for records you can't use.
What does this look like in practice?
Read my list "Q3 customers" and exclude everyone in it. Then find new
VPs of sales at the same kind of companies, 25 records, only people
with an email. Preview first.
The agent reads the saved list for free, uses its person IDs as exclusions, previews, and fetches only new records once you approve.
